Enter The ITBIM "Where Is The Love?" Song Contest.
This competition is designed to find the next great wedding song. In a time where traditional "love" songs have been replaced by more sexually suggestive lyrics and more Hip-Hop based production, we are seeking out music that celebrates the essence of long lasting, committed emotions. Singers, Songwriters, and Producers are encouraged to enter the It’s The Bride In Me Expo “Where Is The Love?” Song Contest. This contest is open to all residents of the continental United States. Entrants must be at least 18 years old for their entry to be considered.
Rules and Regulations: There is no purchase necessary to enter this competition. Participants are limited to no more than five (5) submissions. All submissions must be ORIGINAL music!!! No remakes, renditions, or samples of any commercially released music. Songs can be no more than five (5) minutes in duration. Neither It’s the Bride In Me Expo LLC nor Proving Grounds LLC will be held responsible for any late, misdirected, or illegible entries as well as any technical malfunctions that may occur during the submission process. Entries that contain explicit content or profanity will not be considered.
Suggestions For Writing: Song entries must address the topic of “love”. The ways to cover this topic are limitless. Songs should be directed to a general audience with lyrics and production that can cross racial and cultural barriers. Often times, the best songs are based on one’s own observations and experiences. A writer’s unique point of view tends to result in great records.
Judging Criteria: All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of qualified judges on the basis of:
Prizes: The Grand Prize Winner of the “Where Is The Love” Song Contest will receive $1000 and the songwriter will perform the song on June18th, 2011. Check-in date will be on June 17th, 2011. The winner must be available to perform the song.
How to Enter: Entries may be submitted online in mp3 format. There is a $10 submission fee per song. Please include your name, address, phone number, song lyrics, and your $10 submission fee.
All entries must be submitted by Monday, May 22nd, 2011.
